Regulatory Compliance Analyst

This position reports to Director of Regulatory Affairs

This position will be responsible for:

  • Identify regulatory compliance risks and potential non-compliance issues within various internal departments highlighting areas of improvement and making recommendations to mitigate ineffective/incomplete procedures and improve efficiencies and controls
  • Develop risk assessments to identify potential noncompliance within all BFH departments
  • Perform broad and targeted analyses to evaluate associated compliance risks & assist BFH personnel in conducting internal compliance audits
  • Research, analyze & determine business impact and potential effects of existing law & proposed legislation & regulations on BFH products, systems, operations and procedures.
  • Prepare in-depth summaries of new laws and regulations for internal use.
  • Conduct employee training regarding company policies & procedures, new federal & state laws, and all other compliance related topics through written communications, face to face meetings, and presentations
  • Assist with planning and scoping compliance engagement of BFH employees
  • Provide regulatory guidance by assisting other BFH personnel with internal implementation plans & programs
  • Support quality reviews for all P&Ps to include reviewing, updating and drafting P&Ps to comply with enacted laws including federal and state regulatory requirements, as needed.

Regulatory compliance experience (minimum 3-5 yrs) in health insurance or managed care is required. Must have advanced knowledge of federal laws including federal healthcare reform (Accountable Care Act), HIPAA and ERISA. Must have and maintain proficient to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers through excellent oral & written communications and organizational skills. Must have experience and ability to read and interpret legal documents, policy and procedure manuals, legislations, regulations, etc., with ability to write routine reports, legislative summaries and correspondence. Must have ability to present information and instructions well to others in a clear and concise manner. Should have working knowledge of legislative processes for both federal and state (Kentucky & Indiana) levels & possess strong research and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in communication related field is preferred.


ASO Accountant

This position reports to Director of Finance

This position will be responsible for:

  • Maintain ASO invoicing/payment information
  • Prepare ACH payment files for ASO business
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for ASO business
  • Releasing claims payments for ASO business
  • Analyze claim refunds
  • Maintain communications within and external to ASO Department

• Excellent computer skills in Word for Windows, Excel, MAS90 spreadsheets and database management preferred. • Degreed accountant with minimum 3 years experience strongly preferred • Well organized • Excellent communications skills both oral & written • Able to function well independently and as part of a team
